The Scrunch

Ani exhibits an amazing talent called the scrunch and she has managed to perfect it by six months of age. We have yet to capture her full scrunch on film, but you can see me doing the scrunch in 1978, it is an advanced form of a smile. All the boys in
our household don't know what to make of this smile, but I know that it is really an expression of pure glee. Alex keeps asking me why Ani has such an angry smile and Jared is concerned because it took me about four years before I regressed to the normal smile. I adore her scrunchy face even if it may be a smile only a mother could love.

Happy Fourth!

There was something extra sweet about this Fourth of July because we had Ani. Last year I was pregnant with her and we were still unsure how things would progress. Poor Megan had to help Jared carry our cooler home from the fireworks show because I was under Dr's orders not to carry anything. All day I was so grateful to be spending the holiday with my sweet baby girl. It was a perfect day spent at the beach and finished by watching the fireworks and having an impromptu picnic.

Ch-ch-ch-changes

It was a big day for our family today. Jaden finally lost his front tooth and Ani is sitting up all on her own.
